I loved this post and all the pictures—labyrinths are so much fun and hold so much symbolism. Borges' Labyrinths is one of my favorite books, and Labyrinth was one of my favorite movies as a teenager!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. Labyrinths really do hold so much depth. Borges is such an amazing writer, and I think he’s largely responsible for sparking my passion for Latin American lit. Thank you so much for always reading and commenting! 💕
Here to second the love for Circe! A plantswoman of the highest order… it was so rich and transportive, time felt elastic whilst reading it.
I have recently moved to a property where there is room to build a garden, and the concept of a maze (or labyrinth?) has been floating over me… mown meadows with spiral paths of grass, low rocks marking a track that weave round and round, dizzying, concentric. A walking meditation. A metaphor for our timelines (the earth’s and mine). Your musings have added much richness to the visioning! Thank you 💚🌀
Thank you, I’m so glad to hear you felt inspired by this post! I love your vision for your garden, sounds magical. If you do create a maze there, please tag me, I’d love to see it! 💚
Congratulations! You’ve reached the heart of the labyrinth and emerged as the winner! Please send me a DM with your full name and address to claim your prize. 🌀🏆
I think you’ll really enjoy Piranesi! It’s such a unique read, with a mysterious, unfolding story that stays with you long after you finish. Hope you love it too!
Me too!! I almost gave up on Piranesi at the beginning because it was hard to figure out what was happening, but I’m so glad I stayed with it—definitely one of the best books I read last year. Circe was gorgeous all the way through.
Lost in the labyrinth of words 🌀
Haha, yes, the piece itself is a labyrinth! If you map out each section title, they’ll lead you right to the center. 📍
Love this post and love the giveaway idea too!! 💕
Thank you sm for reading and for the kind words! 💖
I love this Zio <3
Thank you sm! 🫶
I’ve never been to a labyrinth.
I hope you get to one day!

Mazes are strange and unsettling, they freak me out.
They are! But I think that’s part of what makes them alluring 🌀
Absolutely loved all the visuals in this! And based on the other comments, Circe will have to be on my to-read list now!!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the visuals. I think you’ll really love Circe—it’s such a beautifully woven story. 📖
